Today we are excited to share some beautiful photographs from Christa and Steve’s Huron Natural Area engagement session.
We asked Christa and Steve some questions about their story. Here are their answers:
Where did you both meet?
Christa’s Answer
“We met at our best friend’s wedding.”
Steve’s Answer
“We met at Howl at the Moon through a mutual friend. We exchanged numbers that evening and talked once or twice on the phone after. Christa claims she was really interested at the time…she lies”
Tell me about your first date?
Christa’s Answer
“Our first we went to a mutual friends house for dinner. We had Indian food, I remember this like it was yesterday because it was my first time having Indian.”
Steve’s Answer
“Our first date was exactly one week after our best man and maid of honours wedding. We went to a mutual friends place for dinner.”
When did you know that your fiance was the one?
Christa’s Answer
“Although we’ve been together for 20 years, I really only realized he was the one when we got pregnant. So 7.5 yrs ago. I’m not big on marriage and I’m not that girl that dreams of her wedding day. Marriage means a lot to me, it is final and should not be taken lightly so I had to be very sure!!”
Steve’s Answer
“Tough question. Christa saved me from a lot of bad decisions I was making. She showed me I could do something better with my life. She never gave up on me even through the tough times. She believed in me which in turn helped me believe in myself. She helped me become the man I am today. I think I always knew she was the one. She has taught me a lot about myself through her unconditional love and persistence. We have been together ever since our first date and I could not imagine not being with her. She is a part of me.”
What three qualities best describe your fiance?
Christa’s Answer
“He is one of the most caring people I know. He is always willing to help people He has been a great father to my daughter (and of course our son) but to see how much he loves my daughter makes me tear up”
Steve’s Answer
“Loving, Strong, Passionate”
What are your dreams for the two of you in your marriage?
Christa’s Answer
“Travelling and growing old together for sure. We are at the point now where we’d like travel every year, we went on our first trip together EVER last year to Vegas.”
Steve’s Answer
“My only dream is to grow old together and watch our children succeed and all live happy lives.”
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Christa’s Answer
“Having my father & son walk me down the aisle. Being with everyone we love and just enjoying the day! Eat, drink FUN”
Steve’s Answer
“Seeing all our loved ones, throwing a badass party!”
